C.N.I. Syrdall Schwemm - Recreational Baths, Luxembourg, brass, facade

New construction of a recreational baths with various pools, waterslide, diving platform and a landscape of bathing, sauna and wellness facilities.

The site of the new recreational baths is situated in a scenic vale - in the centre of the seven villages of the commune of Niederanven. The recreational baths completes a group of municipal buildings consisting of school, town hall and nursing home.

A wide forecourt forms the entrance area of the new recreational baths. The forecourt is connected to the street and merges with the entrance hall. Various views invite the visitors to sit and stay. The topography of the outer area is flowing into the building and continues throughout the bathing landscape. The different elevations create different bathing experiences.

As a striking symbol the compact upper part of the structure is hovering above the amlpy glazed bathing hall. The open and translucent design admits sunlight far into the interior.
